Am n\u00e4chsten Morgen hat sich ein riesiges Kreuzfahrtschiff neben unserem Balkon &#8222;aufgebaut&#8220;. What a morning!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mdamby.4lima.de\/wordpress\/2017\/05\/18\/cayman-islands-und-cozumelyukatan-usa4\/img_4344\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-694\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-694\" src=\"http:\/\/mdamby.4lima.de\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_4344-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"371\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mdamby.4lima.de\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_4344-1024x576.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/mdamby.4lima.de\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/IMG_4344-350x197.jpg 350w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 660px) 100vw, 660px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcr den Landgang auf <strong>Grand Cayman<\/strong> habe ich am Vorabend einen Getaway &#8211; sprich Ausflug &#8211; zum <strong>Tiki Beach Club <\/strong>gebucht: Strandaufenthalt am Rande des ber\u00fchmten Strandes Seven Mile Beach &#8211; Fahrt mit Kleinbus, &#8222;naturally shaded beach garden&#8220; (klang gut), Sonnenliege und Getr\u00e4nke.<\/p>\n<p>Ich schlie\u00dfe mich Nancy an, einer Amerikanerin aus Oregon. Sie ist heute auch allein unterwegs. Im Kleinbus geht es bei Linksverkehr durch die Hauptstadt des britischen \u00dcberseegebietes. George Town ist bei uns haupts\u00e4chlich als f\u00fcnftgr\u00f6\u00dfter Bankplatz der Welt bekannt. Dennoch eine liebensw\u00fcrdige und ansehnliche Stadt.<\/p>\n<p>Mit etwas Gl\u00fcck ergattern wir die letzten zwei Liegen &#8222;under naturally shadow&#8220;. Vermutlich sind es Mangroven, die uns Schatten spenden. Darin schwarze V\u00f6gel; H\u00fchner laufen im Sand herum. Nancy geht ins Wasser zum Schnorcheln, ich bade im flachen Wasser. Es gibt soviel zu sehen und zu sp\u00fcren. Die Blicke der Urlauber sind auf unverhofft Anwesende gerichtet. Nun sehe ich sie auch: mehrere Leguane. Da keine besondere Aufregung herrscht, gelingt es mir, gelassen zu beiben.\u00a0Ich frage Nancy: tun die uns was? &#8211; sie: Keine Ahnung. Aha. Ich mache es mir wieder auf der Liege gem\u00fctlich. Lasse die Blicke zum Wasser schweifen. Dann nach oben. Was ich dort erblickte, ist dann doch zu viel. Seht\/Sehen Sie bitte selbst. <strong>Direkt \u00fcber meinem Kopf.<\/strong> Nach kurzer Schreckstarre beschlie\u00dfe ich mehr oder weniger &#8222;cool&#8220;, jetzt meinen Getr\u00e4nkebon an der Bar einzul\u00f6sen. Abends wieder feines Essen. Sp\u00e4ter entscheiden wir uns f\u00fcr ein\u00a0 klassisches Konzert. F\u00fcnf junge Kammermusiker aus aller Welt bieten s\u00fcdamerikanische Musik dar. Sehr spannend. Sie spielen virtuos und trefflich. Die St\u00fccke klingen temperamentvoll, melancholisch, sprunghaft, dissonant &#8211; eine atemberaubende Mischung aus Weltuntergang, Lebensfreude, Kargheit und Tango. Ein besonderes Erlebnis abseits von Europa und seinen musikalischen Gepflogenheiten.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Am sp\u00e4ten Vormittag<\/strong> des n\u00e4chsten Tages erreichen wir die mexikanische K\u00fcste &#8211; die der Halbinsel Yukatan vorgelagerte Insel <strong>Cozumel<\/strong>. Jean-Jacques Cousteau machte ihre guten Tauchm\u00f6glichkeiten bekannt. Wir gehen von Bord und sehen uns die lebhafte Touristenmeile an. Herrliche Anblicke \u00fcberall. Die Bilder sprechen f\u00fcr sich.<\/p>\n<p>Am Abend auf dem Schiff f\u00fchrt eine mexikanische Folkloregruppe T\u00e4nze zu rasanter Musik vor.<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-3' class='gallery galleryid-687
